Mom is insisting that I come home for the Pimlico party she’s throwing this year. (Next spring.) What to do? She’s gonna expect me to wear one of these, i’m sure. Ugh.

I’m not sure what a Pimlico party is but seersucker is so light and comfy, I can promise it won’t be all that bad to wear… Even though I’m not a JCrew fan ;)

It’s sorta like a garden-club scene … well-to-do ladies drinking iced tea and cocktails before the big horserace back home in the spring. I’m not worried about comfort, just looking like a preppy geek. Not really my style. But I think I’m going to have to suck it up and go with it.
